Part of our 1% pledge programme

From 2022 on, Jungle Minds pledged to dedicate 1% of our time to pro-bono work in order to support purpose-driven organizations.

Our first 1% pledge client is United Repair Centre (URC): a social enterprise that offers circular textile solutions for fashion brands. Backed up by technology, URC is on a mission to repair the fashion industry by making repair services more common amongst brands and more available to consumers. Next to offering circular textile services, URC employs refugees and educates them to become highly skilled tailors.

In three projects Jungle Minds helped URC to position themselves better to possible partners and to align on priorities for their digital interfaces.

    I – A pitch deck for URC’s pilot programme

    URC is on a mission to repair the clothing industry. In order to succeed, they need more brands on board. So, to prove their point, URC offers a pilot run of their services. A pitch like this requires to get the story straight, and effectively communicate exactly how URC is going to contribute to the brands’ repair process.

    We ran a series of workshops to dive into URC’s world and formulate the concrete steps they can take for the brands, and what they ask in return as a startup. The result was a deck that helped URC pitch their services and deliver a strong message about the circular economy to leading clothing companies.

    II – Unique value proposition

    Sometimes the clients with the most distinctive services are the ones that have a hard time getting their story across. That also counts for URC. These social pioneers are so dedicated in moving forward, they forgot to take a moment to step back, reflect on what sets them apart from the competition and define their value proposition. Here is where Jungle Minds stepped in again to offer help.

    After conducting research on the market, competitors and trends like European laws & legislations regarding sustainability, Jungle Minds crafted a unique value proposition that is both comprehensive and concise. Since URC’s social mission is one of the main characteristics that sets them apart from the competition, we integrated both their social mission and offerings in the eventual value proposition.

III – Roadmap for URC’s digital infrastructure

Data is key for URC’s offering their technical infrastructure and user interfaces have to work together to fulfill their brand promise. Though, URC had quite some trouble to align on priorities, digital approach and timelines. Jungle Minds helped URC formulate and prioritize concrete steps towards their digital vision by creating a technical roadmap for their integrated platform.

Using a user-centric approach, we defined which features were essential for each specific audience in order to deliver on URC’s offerings. Since planning and technical staffing was still quite unclear, we decided to take URC’s packages as a baseline for the roadmap. This roadmap gave a clear overview on how the different digital features and services are interdependent and what features need to be developed first in order to move forward with other services. 

We can do more. And we want to!

URC was the first client we supported under our 1% pledge. We believe that by empowering purpose driven organizations with our expertise, we can make an impact.
