An abundance of profiles for a perfect match
What do you see?
In its Careers section, Deutsch Bank created a ‘profile world’, showing a variety of employee profiles. There is something for everybody. The section is divided into three areas:
- Let’s talk
Deutsche Bank shows videos of employees in separate segments, phrased as questions. It is up to the visitor to decide which questions he wishes to have answered. - One day in…
The visitor is taken through an average working day of four employees from different fields of work: a slide show of pictures, combined with informative quotes. - Profile world
An abundance of profiles is available here. It is possible to filter by level of experience (graduate, experienced, MBA), division, position or region. A profile shows the answers to a variety of questions.
Why is it effective?
The visitor is in control and his interests are the sole focus in this section of the website. This increases the chance of arousing the visitor’s interest and creating a match. Moreover, the chance of disappointed employees leaving within a few months due to a mismatch diminishes considerably. Ultimately saving the company money!
What’s next?
The Profile World – and specifically the ‘Let’s talk’ section – creates a semblance of interaction. However, the interaction is prearranged. Ideally, it should be possible to pose a question, any question, and get an immediate and satisfactory response. Either by means of an infinite preset database or through live chat with the employees.
The limitation of the current Profile World is that the visitor can only filter based on factual information. The next level would enable them to filter based on ‘soft’ factors as well, so they could find profiles of employees that are equally ambitious or profiles of those who also combine parenting with a career.
And finally, to get a genuine idea of what’s going on in Anette’s mind, there should be a link to her LinkedIn profile, MySpace, Facebook or Hyves page, or her personal blog.
